Three weeks, and I will be happy (minus AP work and all weekdays barring release day and vacations). Reach will be the best.

In agreement with this, Halo 2 was still very much active when they took the server down early this year forthe reach beta.

And I beleave same will apply for Halo 3, and only natural to expect Reach to follow suit.
Especailly with me playing.

Halo 3 is currently my most played online game, and Reach will replace that.

As excited as I am for the release of reach, i'd rather have bungie progress within the halo universe. I play Halo for the campaign; the multiplayer doesn't appeal to me as much. I've read the books, and its not quite as fun when you know the long term result of your "guns blazin".

As in, its the game I play the most online.

which is pretty damn good considering it came out in 2007, 3 years ago.

Well they are practically the same game engine so of course they will stay closely to others in the series.
they are like the GH of fps.

oh and if we want to be technical, halo 3 came out before all 3 of them. and its still beating 2 in the charts =P

and sure about the storyline >= multiplayer.
but that doesn't mean multiplayer still isn't kick ass.

This is what everyone overlooks. Whenever there's a freakout thread on the Bungie forums going "HALOS DEAD NOW NO ONE WANTS REACH LOOK MW2 IS THE MOST PLAYED GAME ON LIVE AND HALO IS DROPPING", about five of the posts are idiots agreeing and then finally someone posts the fact that it's two years older than Modern Warfare 2.

Also, I'm at breaking point with MW2's multiplayer. It's just a fucking chore to deal with every cheap tactic and stupid teammate to try to get the win. I'm good at it, and I can consistently win, but even that's not very fun. I play because it's addictive, not good, and that's why I have very little respect for the game as a whole. I'm dying for more Invasion in Reach.

And Grim, if you're only mildly disappointed with where Bungie's going with Reach, why post such an inflammatory post. Maybe it's the fact that you're a sour asshole and you're looking for an excuse to insult me.

You say you "already know the result of my 'guns blazin'" in Reach. Is that so bad? Yes, we know Reach gets glassed and the space battle was a traumatic defeat. We don't know what happened on the ground earlier in the battle (note the Spartan-IIs hit the ground near the end, when the generators were nearly lost) and in other places. We don't know what revelations await within the Halo universe.
