I went pretty far west and a bit south. There's more desert beyond it, I think.

WarHampster wanted to swap stone blocks for glass ones around a garbage disposal unit (lava) in the basement of one of the buildings. Apparently, it somehow came into contact with a log, and then everything went to hell. The waterfalls you see are from the 4th story bathroom / sauna - the bottom of the pools, being wooden, gave way, creating this interesting Minecraft-physics phenomenon. Luckily, the frame of the tower was stone, leaving much of it intact. The pools actually put out a significant amount of the fire, being so high up. (Maybe a new protective measure?) Needless to say, I am not putting garbage cans inside buildings from now on.

It would have been cool to have a glass garbage disposer though, right? Right?

In addition to burning down buildings, Minecraft is about civilizing the unknown - and what better way exists of putting a virgin level under the shackles of human rule than instituting a capitalist economy?

I'm considering buying Minecraft, how much is it again? I've only played single player on a friend's copy, so what's MP like? Are you guys renting a server/do you run your own? Also, are you using hacks (INVedit), or mining all your materials?

A paltry $10.00.

SMP is virtually the same as survival mode. A few significant features are missing, but being added gradually. Damage was just implemented today. (I could make the server PvP if I wanted to.) I am renting a server. We are using no hacks. I can, however, use the console to give myself and other players items. As to whether or not I'll give you something, it depends on the quantity and nature of the item. (I will give out a lot of sand because I don't like people tearing up beaches!)

EDIT: NO ONE ACCESS SERVER UNTIL MCADMIN HAS BEEN UPDATED - MAY BE A DAY OR TWO

Just logged in, looks like everything is back to normal (nice job rebuilding the tower).

Could i have the server IP, i just got te game too..

Now after playing it for a few hours (and surviving a month) i have to say that this is one of the more fun games ive played in a long time! But i would really like to get the IP to yah server, it would be fun to play it with you guys! =)

Join the server a little bit ago, went exploring round the town and etc then went to find the mine(I think I might have found it but I really don't know lol.)
Got lost on the mountains and spent ages to find where the heck I was lol.
Then somehow manage to get back to the town then went for a walk to cacti island lol.
Pretty cool so far(way cooler than my friends server lol.)

Altho I did experience some lagg every now and then(especailly when using the pressure plate/button doors.) And disconnected every time the map saved.
But I think that's just cause I'm a New Zealander joining an american server =P

I'm definately asking my friend to buy it for me (parents don't like me making purchases, but I have a friend who'll buy anything if you give him cash). Also,

God damn i hate those frikking creepers! i hardly ever go outside my hideout! i pretty much just have a tunnel system spanning the whole island im on! Though i do have like 6 watch towers.... but i dont have a bow yet...
