Some Questions...

Ok guys, I've got some questions about what you want to be in Maelstrom:

1) the name... I want to name the game "End of the World Party", because its different and awesome. What do you think?

2) the inventory... Its and rpg, so theres an inventory. I'm all for taking the realistic approach and making it so you can only carry one main weapon and one backup weapon at a time... this will make the game more realistic, be (much) less hard to program, force the player to use the weapon customization system (more on that later), and emphasize how important the weapons are to the game's story. Also it will make the game more unique. I realize that this may make make people really angry, however, as it is far from how most rpgs handle things... once again, what do you think?

Meh I've read alot about Mass Effect... I don't really like the story (or any western RPG's story, for that matter)

I'm not kidding... answer the inventory question. Much of the games code is influenced by the inventory's setup, so i really need to know now.

wow, real mature. anyway, even though i don' have a mac ill respond to ya question. First off, i kinda like the name, but maybe make a shorter version of it?? not that the name makes a huge difference. Also, i like the inventory idea and the forcing players to use weapons customization, some games are full of customizing weapons, but you can carry everything with you so you can get more damage from just switching between weapons. Anyway, if i ever get a mac laptop ill be sure to get the game.

Hrrrm... I think I'll finish the game before I add stuff like that.

ya, skins are a good idea, but should be a sort of dlc or something. People want the game and don't really mind if they have to wait to get something that won't effect the actual gameplay.

btw, another meet today, we only ran 2 miles this time but i had shin splints (tiny fractures in you shin from road pounding). I ended up passing 10 people at the end of the race in one of my kicks (sprints) and actually got a decent time, 7 minute average per mile.....shin splints freaking suck ass.

I had shin splints this summer... they hurt like hell.

no kidding, i share your pain. I never actually knew exactly what they were until Coach told me...i didn't think that it was actual fractures in the shin, now i know why it takes a long time for it to feel better.

Meh, I kinda like the name, and I like your idea for the inventory.

Hows this for the name:

End of the World Party: Maelstrom.

That way people can just refer to it by Maestrom but the full name is cooler.
