New NZ government

this doesn't affect you guys but i thought i would post it anyway
our election is over and we have a National Party government now >.<

for those that don't know what this means, NZ is gona be fucked up its arse for the next 3 years, lol
The National Party don't know how to govern a country, or at least every time they try they have fucked up, well i will be voting next election so they have 3 years to give me reasons not to vote for them lol

Also, you probobly heard, but in California gay marrige is no longer legal, and in Connecticut people voted to not have the right to have a say in lawmaking. Fucking idiots. I'll be voting next election though (assuming I havn't moved to Canada. Or Japan. Or Sweden. Or Ireland. Or Britain.

Actually thats a very good thing... the vote was if Connecticut was to have a constitutional convention or not. A convention sounds fine, but the only people allowed into the convention would have been "special interest groups", who would have used it to ban gay marriage in Connecticut. I was relieved that it did not pass.

Skullking, I read up about the national party and they do seem very sketchy... I don't like their whole reducing social welfare thing.

The problem is, the Roman Catholic Church is in control NOW, and gay marriage is still banned.

Does that mean it is used, just because it exists? We still say "under god" in our Pledge of Allegiance (I stopped saying the under god part), religion is the primary reason why people say they hate homosexuals, and SARAH PALIN.

BTW, for those who don't know, it may not seam like it, but I am a religous person, I just don't believe in imposing my religion upon others. Religion should not play a part in politics. Thus, I believe what I personally think is right, not what the church tells me. I support gay marriage, and abortion. I don't think any religion should have the right to say that because they don't agree with something, it shouldn't happen. Until I see God come to Earth and tell people that abortion/homosexuality is wrong, proving that everything in the Bible is true, I will not impose on others. I think that it's important to remember that the Bible was written by people, not God, and thus, is not 100% accurate.

I don't think abortian is a good idea, I just think people should have the right to choose. Also, if God did come to earth and tell everyone that abortion/homosexuality is wrong then it would be wrong, as he is omniscient.
