Guess Who's Happy?

Well, Yesterday, Cod4 froze on me and i was forced to restart my computer with the power switch. When it had started up, i opened up cod4 multiplayer, and it said,

Error reading stats data, your stats have been reset

I was level 55 and i had blue tiger camouflage on M40A3, G3, M4, G36C, R700, Barrett .50 Cal, p-90, and the scorpion

and the Up side? Well, Activision says, "DEAL WITH IT."

Do as Activision says; no one gives a flying shit.

I'm happy, right?

That happened to me a couple months ago, although I wasn't as far along as you were, and I didn't bother trying to contact Activision. I just decided that I wouldn't start playing again until I got my new computer (Hopefully in a week!).

Go in the program files and reset your stats... it's in a notepad document right?

unfortunately its not that simple. The reason cod4 mpdata didn't work, is because the file is now corrupted. And no, it is not a text file.

But you can open it with NotePad.

Just use a memory editor to reset your stats. I don't know how COD4 handles values, but it should be easy to hack with any decent memory editor.

you bring up a good point, im sure you could reset it with a decent hack. but you could also be banned from the secured servers, would it be worth it?
