We need a new game!

U gais we need a new game, cause right now we are somewere in the size of 5 or 6 active members and that kinda sux. Also lately we have been very quiet. Hopefully they will all be for mac linux and windows.

Vendetta Online is that game, though its a spceship MMORPGFPS FPS if u choose first person xD

We need something that has a community of people who play it that isn't too big... that way we can make a clan or something that will get noticed. Also, it should be easily moddable, as pretty much everyone here has experience modding.

That narrows it down to:

Quake 1/ Quakeworld
Quake 3
HLDM classic
HL2DM
Sauerbraten

From my experience the Sauerbraten community is full of jerks... and I know that you guys don't like Quake.

How about HL2DM? It's really fun, has a relatively small community of generally awesome people, and I'm ranked pretty highly on one of the most popular servers. Also, you can get it for free (legally, google it), and everyone here probably already has steam. We could make a map together and then host it on a dedicated server, and tell people who join to go to these forums.

I would say WoW but i quit it like a month ago... Basically, my advice is don't go with an MMO, way too time consuming. Go with a more shallow game that requires more skill than equipment+time.

Offer a viable alternative that wasn't made by ID 50 years ago.

Just because it's old and has bad graphics doesn't make it a bad game.

HL2DM is relatively new :3

How about Alien Arena? It has pretty good graphics, it's open source (runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux), and it's based on the idTech2 engine (works on most computers). Alien Arena 2009 will be released next week.
