The intro and the droping down to the planet kept reminding me of starship troopers, don't know why? but anyway I was kinda disappointed not seeing bugs pop up
anyway looks alright, another 10 years and I might have it

Bullshit. If your armor can survive an orbital drop, let alone unscathed, that's no game.

Agreed... godlike graphics though, even if it is CG.
Can't the Spartan armor take orbital drops?

Spartan armor isn't made to survive orbital drops. In "Fall of Reach," when Red Team's pelican is destroyed in orbit, they jump. When they land, nobody is unscathed. Four are dead, around eight have critical injuries, and even the luckiest have pretty bad injuries and broken armor.
Master Chief's drop wasn't an orbital drop. He jumped from the Forerunner Dreadnought while it was a little over a mile above the surface, and even he was pretty fucked up by the landing.

You see the dreadnought flying through the atmosphere when the Chief jumps off, and one of the marines in the following cutscenes says the Chief fell "two kilometers, easy."
There is no obscurity. It is quite clear.

But then there are people like me who don't listen to anything that isn't to do with the storyline
