Why was I gone? and why was I gone for so long? Are two of three questions you maybe thinking. Third being "You were gone?" to those thinking that... Fuck you. lol
Anyway my absence started mainly because my crappy old laptop finally died and I only just got a new computer and connected it to teh internets.
Its a fairly good pc I got for free from my stepdad, because I am just about to start a course at polytech and need a decent pc and he also got a new high end gamming machine so he didn't need his old one anymore lol.
OS: Vista Ultimate 64bit(yes I know, vista sucks, but hey atleast its 64bit and utlimate package right? and I got it for free?) OpenSuse 11.2 64Bit
Anyway... This course I'm starting at polytech. It is a Bachelor in Information Technology and I am majoring in software engineering. So that pretty much brings me up to date of my offline stuff.

Upgrade to Win7 Home Premium (nobody needs anything more than Home Premium)
Also, why are you using 64bit if you only have 2 gigs of ram?

I am not going to spend money I don't have and need just to update an OS. Also not true, win7 HP does not include the XP sim thingy, So if I was going to upgrade I would go with Pro.
Also I am running 64 bit cause it was FREE, and it also means future possible upgrades in the area of ram and graphics.
But no of that will happen anytime soon cause I just don't have the spare cash.
Edit: It's also a 64bit machine, And in my opinion its a waste 32bit on 64bit machine cause you are not getting your true value out of it. Mind you, most programs are only 32bit atm =/

But a 64 bit OS sucks up more RAM and CPU cycles than 32 bit. Also, fyi, the XP emulation in Win7 Pro is useless. I have never run into a program that worked on XP but not on Windows 7 (Compatibility mode, in XP, Vista, and every version of 7 works just fine).

yeah 32x can actually handle 3GB of ram, and thats all you really need if you only have a 2.4 GHz dual core.

Ok seriously you are forgetting the major reason while I have 64bit. It was FREE. and there is no way in hell I am going to be buying a new operating system just because it is more ram and CPU friendly.
Also 32bit can utilize up to 4gb of ram, including graphics card.
Anyway there's no need to discuss it further cause I do not have the money to upgrade anything, I barely have enough to get by. So nothing you say will change my OS. Ok?

they're different bud, the 32 bit windows 7 operating system doesn't limit graphics memory
i assumed that 7 would just have the same limits as vista. Vista x32 maxes out at 3.5, where as 7 x32 maxes out at 4

Okay, it's getting fucking ridiculous.
Downsize your fucking sig, Skullking. I have to scroll through all your shit to read the next post. Your signature is not the place to put comics that are mildly funny. Link them if you want to do that. Don't make me scroll past them every single fucking post you make.

awww... but I put it there just for you paul, I thought you would be happy... JK
Anyway even I thought it was a bit much, I found a better place for the second comic anyway. I put it on my Facebook page that I hadn't loged into for ages.
