fffing endure >.<

I am starting to get really sick of this achievement...
wait starting? I have always been sick of it.

Last night had to be the most saddening... disappointing and maddening attempt for it yet.

We got into the 4 set and one of our players went afk, and somehow during the last two waves we went down from 20 lives to non, It would have been ok but the two best players died taking down the last of the brutes(me and one other guy.)

And the one guy was completely out of ammo and was running round desperately while me and my friend yelled at him lol.
He got sniped by a Jackal...

Now whos left? the freaking guy who went afk....
All thats left on the last wave was him and 3 fucking Jackels.
And we had to watch as they slowly killed him...

2 hours and 20 minutes wasted... >.<

This is one unhappy camper.

And they all suck or done it already or just don't care about.

Also I think it was wave 3 or 4 of round 3 of set 4 was really fing intense.
Every brute in that round was a camo, fire nade spaming maul welding pain in the ass.

I swear there was like 30 of them coming in groups of 10 at us.

We would cut down a group of them while loosing lives to those stupid fire nades, and then another big group of them would come at us.

It was the longest wave in the whole game. >.<
And the hardest.

Update on endure:
We tried again, this time 3 of us with one dummy controller(An xbl guest on someones xbox that we hide and use as a backup.)

It was going so good, we were playing it and winning easly...
But then... the worst thing happened.
Mr Portroyal666's cat jumped behind his T.V. and knocked out the multibox.
Turning all his shit off and disconnecting our game.

Grr!!!
where are going to try one last time tomorrow with same people, This time NO CATS.

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it. Worst-case scenario is it lags for the first twenty seconds and we realize it's a bad idea and end it.

And that's why I love dedicated servers (unless a cat gets in the datacenter)

Pheonix, would you kindly shut the hell up? You're in love with PC games and dedicated servers; we get it. We also don't care.

Also, it's not like if it was a dedicated server, it'd change anything. The whole point is that if one player leaves, no matter if he's host or client, the game ends.

If it was a dedicated server, if one player leaves or gets disconnected, the game would continue (unless it was a shitty port).

It doesn't matter if it continued, cause if he left it wouldn't be 4 players anymore and therefore we wouldn't get the achievement.

So no matter what shit you say about dedicated servers, It just doesn't matter!

Speaking of dedicated servers... they are a good idea up to the point where a game gets a bit old and not so many players play it anymore and the servers get shutdown.
Pisses me off, cause they don't think release a patch when they shut it down to host your own games.

It's just plain annoying.

Oh and I know the Halo PC servers are still up and running, and some old games on steam are too. But that's cause Halo is just a really good popular game and Steam is while... steam, They created there own MP setup for The original AvP game!

Also, Starcraft (anything by Blizzard) and the Quake series. I'm pretty sure that Serious Sam is still up also.

EDIT: Forgot Unreal Tournament (also Pre-Halo)

Starcraft is the greatest RTS of all time.
And Blizzard(unlike most game companys these days.) truely care about there games, even if there is only 5 people left playing.

As for the Quake series UT.. well they are god like game series.
Also you are forgetting that they and SS are on steam.
And steam sets up servers for MP games that have been taken down by the game creators.
So whether or not they are still supported we don't know if they are by there original creators or steam.

I was speaking commercial wise, and with the fact that it is still hugely played loong after its orignal release date.

I totally agree with my own opinion that Homeworld 2 is far better scale wise.
Shame its not as widely played as Starcraft, or as well known(atleast in New Zealand.)

And shame theres only two races(except for mods, I have found one but never used, that has 7 races for it.)

You can't really compare them apart from a personal veiw.
Which is I would much rather play Homeworld 2 than Starcraft.

And the fact that Starcraft is a more successful game.
Which is why it is the greatest RTS of all time.

Yeah it was about something, kinda went off track...

i shelfed halo, im gonna give it a break until reach drops in, im playing L4D2 on expert and borderlands instead.

I got endure! I am so happy lol.
Finally got Recon.
Now I can officially say I have unlocked all armour in halo 3 =]

Now just one thing left to cross off my todo list before reach gets here, and that's get lvl 50 in a playlist lol.

hey we needed a fourth person, and some one whos partly there at the start and end(when we needed him) is better than a dummy controller lol.
