So, I just finished Halo 2 (Windows port) for the first time. I got to say, the storyline actually got sort of interesting around the last third of the game. I wish the others would get ported to PC.

In my view, the game's overrated but it's still got heart and its own kick that makes it special.

It's a double-edged sword for me. The exploration of no death barriers is fun, but I can definitely see the need to keep immersion and the angle of "We don't want you to exploit our maps."

Well i only see death barriers as a mild annoyance, but seriously, a the moment they have spammed the outsides of the maps with them and sometimes they even block areas that would make perfect forging areas (waterfall cave in forgeworld for example).

A well designed map shouldn't be "exploitable" in the first place... I think that death barriers and invisible walls are instant immersion killers.
I haven't played Halo 2 in ages, I just remember a few scenes, like the underwater base thing and the battle with the hammer guy.
