I would get away from using filters and start using the blending options or the image adjustments. I hate using filters myself because they make your images so fake looking and ruins a lot of things, mostly photographs. Halo bitmaps are a different story.. Just some advice.

ya, the style I was using was using both filters and blending options, I've done a few with just filters and some brush strokes and some with just blending options and brush strokes (+ renders ofc) since this after noon, I just made a Halo one though with some new halo renders i found with all (my new brush styles, my filters, and my blending options)
I'm gonna try some full sized images now, less c4d's and filters but more blending options, gotta think of a theme though rawr

Instead of double posting...
This is an image I did trying to use a larger image and a lot less effects but instead of blending options I used filters to make it look a lot less pale and add a nicer backrgound, I think it looks better than the origional... xD (if you want to see the origional I can post it but I dont want to post it twice)
