politics, politics, LETS GET BACK TO THE DISSCUSSION, i saw afew episodes on youtube, eghh, then i downloaded (leagally?) the 1st and second book. not bad pheonix, but... yea bad. Broken storyline fucked up character development, even the most epic fight scenes wont fix that. Epic fight scenes dont mean anything if they dont progress the plot.

You're right, it is broken. Season 2 of the manga did a good job trying to fix it, but the plot had no direction in season 1.

I think someone referred to the show's plot line as a "monster of the week" type. Anyway, I can download the show for free (both seasons) legally (omigawd!) if anyone wants it...

I actually stopped watching it after my rant, so thanks, but no thanks. Anyways, to quote TVTropes (excellent website), it started as a monster of the week, and then it got much darker, with the main character being crucified (he survives lol) and later in the series becoming a ghoul, and his friend gets possessed and tries to stab him (he survives that too), etc., etc., etc.

But its still just as airy and light as ever

That was before I actualy watched the anime. The manga was violent. I described it to him as a mixture of Hellsing and Harry Potter.

The only good thing in that combination being the former.

I heard about that. LOL. Apparently, at some mall, anonomuse got on a loudspeaker and shouted: "Attention shoppers. On Page XX of Harry Potter, XXXXX dies," etc. over and over, and listed everyone who died. I saw that on youtube. LOL.
