Infinite power = unlimited power. But you're semi-right about the alternate dimensions thing, anything with sufficient mass turns into energy when it goes faster than light. Thankfully, a small spaceship is not sufficient mass.

Actually the theory is that the universe will be made into a black hole, and when it runs out of energy a new universe will come into existence.
