He's highly sadistic, and completely mocking of those he finds inferior - and indeed, not many actually earn his respect. With such a 'good record', it's hard to imagine he'd work for the Hellsing Organization, much less call the head of the Hellsing clan 'master'. Why would a vampire hunt and destroy his own kind - especially when it was at the direction of humans?
