Say hello to "Leela"

Yes i am making an AI. Very definately not as powerful as Tycho but it is a quite good conversationalist. I am taking the name of "Leela" for it and you all will be able to talk to it over IM i am still working on it and will post the IM that you can get in contact with it on after I am done.

ok I am going to let you all in on how I came about finding this. ok the other day i was walking home from school, and I go past what looked like a broken cell phone. so i was like 'hmm someone dropped there phone out the window of their car.' then i notice that there was no keypad. and there was a screen, about the size of an old ipod screen, i stop and pick it up, and a small hard drive fell out. it was broken and cracked. so I thought "well no salvageable parts.' then i noticed a bit of green inside the case. it was some flash memory. i take it home then stick it into my flash drive by fashioning an adapter. I found the broken and corrupted code of this AI on it.

sorta, i can talk to it over IM and through Terminal. that is without a IM plugin thingy for terminal.

What languages are you using?

I am using java to write this.

I don't use java, but It's a lot easier than what I DO use.

Hamster it involves making a HUGE library of nested if statements that is not very pretty to look at and even less to code.

i jsut said how. I am making the inputed text get stored then run through the whole list of replies. each time you say something to it, it will do that.
